At Dead or Alive Technology, we believe that technology should work for you — not against you. Based in the heart of Wishaw, we proudly provide professional computer and device repairs along with dedicated IT support for small businesses across North Lanarkshire and beyond.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll experience a service built on trust, transparency, and technical expertise. Whether you’re a student needing your laptop repaired, a family looking for reliable phone fixes, or a small business searching for ongoing IT support, we are here to help.
Dead or Alive Technology was incorporated in August 2023 out of a lifelong passion for electronics and helping others. Founder Steve Boylan started the business from his home in Airdrie, working on laptops, phones, and PCs for family, friends, and local customers.
Word quickly spread about the quality of repairs, affordable pricing, and honest advice — leading to steady growth and a loyal customer base.
In May 2025, the business reached a new milestone with the opening of our first dedicated store in Wishaw. The store stands as a tribute to Steve’s late father, whose encouragement to succeed and help others provided the inspiration behind the brand.
Today, Dead or Alive Technology continues to evolve, with a vision of becoming the go-to repair and IT support hub across North Lanarkshire, while also serving customers throughout Scotland and the UK.
Our mission is simple:
To make technology repairs simple, affordable, and stress-free, while providing reliable IT solutions that keep homes and businesses running smoothly.
We want every customer to leave our store or service call feeling supported, valued, and confident in the technology they rely on.
We’re guided by four core principles:
Transparency – Clear pricing with no hidden charges. We explain repairs in plain English so you always know what you’re paying for.
Quality – We use high-grade replacement parts and follow strict repair standards to ensure long-lasting results.
Reliability – We fix things right the first time and stand behind our work with warranties where possible.
Community – We are proud to be part of the Wishaw and North Lanarkshire community, supporting local residents, families, schools, and businesses.

I’m Steve Boylan, the proud founder and owner of Dead or Alive Technology. My career began with roles at Laptop Power UK in Hunts Cross, Greenbridge Technology in Knowsley, and Smartfix in Slateford, Edinburgh. I later joined Comex2000 for Virgin Media, where I worked across several positions — from Residential Engineer to MDU Management Team.
These experiences gave me a deep understanding of electronics, IT systems, and customer service. But my passion has always been in helping people directly — fixing their technology, solving their problems, and giving them peace of mind.
Dead or Alive Technology is the result of that passion. It’s not just a business — it’s a personal mission to bring trusted, affordable, and community-driven tech support to North Lanarkshire and beyond.
Community is at the heart of what we do. We actively look for ways to:
Support local schools and charities with IT expertise and donations where possible.
Offer affordable repairs so technology is accessible to everyone.
Provide employment opportunities as the business grows.
Looking ahead, our vision is to open additional stores across Scotland, while continuing to expand our business IT services. But no matter how much we grow, we will always keep the personal, customer-first approach that built our reputation in Wishaw.
